CoLab is Kaduna's first CoWorking Space and Innovation Hub. Beyond that, we want to grow a collaborative community of Programmers, Developers, Designers, Bloggers, Graphic Designers, Photographers, Entrepreneurs, Freelancers, Startups and Tech enthusiasts generally.

Hello!

First off, we would like to say a Happy Eid-el-Fitr to our Muslim friends as they celebrate Sallah this weekend. It's a Friday, a public holiday and also Sallah. How much better can that get? One thing is certain, someone is hunched over their computer at CoLab at this moment. :-)

We're halfway through the year and we're not letting the summer heat slow us down. We've got a number of things planned out which we'll be sharing:

FbStart Roadshow
Facebook's Acceleration team is coming to Kaduna!
What does that mean? Well, you get a chance to not only hear from the team at Facebook and CcHub about what they've got planned out for Nigeria, but also demo any products you have. There's also a chance to access up to $20,000 at the FbStart.

If you know anyone currently a part of the HNG Internship program, let them know we're providing free access to our facilities and internet for the duration of their internship.
Big Cabal Media is hiring for a number of roles. If you are interested in covering tech or know anyone who is, point them this way.

Google is giving out travel and grant scholarships to students in Computer Science-related fields to present their papers. Select Africa and apply here.

The Kaduna State Government in partnership with the World Bank and Rockefeller Foundation are having an E-Lance Training Workshop. Sign up here if you'd like to be a part of it. Deadline is 22nd June. If you are interested in volunteering for the program, you can also fill this form. This is open to residents of Plateau, Kano and Kaduna.
