It is becoming more likely that November 23 is our earliest reopening date folks, subject to no new Victorian covid-19 cases for the two weeksprior. Peak Australian swimming industry bodies Australian Swim Coaches & Teachers Association and Royal Life Saving Society are lobbying for swim schools to reopen before then so that children can resume water safety education and learn to swim lessons sooner, especially since the swimming season is upon us. We will keep all our swim school families notified of our firm reopening date at least a week in advance via email and Instagram/ facebook posts, so keep an eye out!
Babies to KIDS Swim School has a detailed COVIDSafe plan in place that’s designed to ensure you and your child’s safety. It requires our swim school community to adhere to appropriate measures that include (but not limited to): social distancing, good hand hygiene, mask wearing, temperature checking and so on.
All the detail of what is required of you and your child to be part of our COVIDSafe aquatic environment will be made available and sent to you at the time of announcing our firm reopening date. Please contact David if you would like a copy of our COVIDSafe plan.

5. Layers of Protection
We can’t change the fact that we have not been able to prepare for Summer this year with regular swimming lessons, but there are still so many things we can all do to stay safe around the water!
Active adult supervision is the most important protection for your child in and around water this summer...and in any season!
Q. What is active supervision?
A. Phone off • No distractions • Stay within arms length of children < 5 years or beginners • Keep children < 13 years in sight • Look out for bodies of water• Empty and turn over buckets
