Friday night marks the opening of Andrew Marvick's solo exhibit, "New Essays on Pentachromacy". Andrew will be showing brand new work in several series and will be here to share his inspiration. We will host the reception from 5-8 pm, so be sure to come by, say hello and see his amazing body of work!
If you haven't been here in awhile, we have several new artists, the most recent being from right in the neighborhood. Well, we consider Springdale "the neighborhood". Jenny Christiansen and Mike Ryan (Ryno), paint bold, colorful subjects depicting this amazing land we call "color country". We are also restocked in work by some of your favorites like Marcus Najac, Christophe Poly, Kelly Yeats and Emily Start.
We are happy to be selling chili bowls from the Chili Bowl Sale which took place a few weeks ago at SUU. This annual sale helps to offset costs for student attendance at the premier ceramics conference presented by NCECA. Art Works is selling these great pieces on behalf of the Ceramics Guild and total sales go to the Guild. There are still lots of great bowls left too, so think youknowwhat!
If you missed Brian Hoover's show you must have had a good excuse, but you can see all the pieces in the exhibit here. If you want to purchase anything, give us a call.
Our upcoming show will feature Susan Harris on December 9, 2016,5-8 pm. Susan will be exhibiting her signature work inspired by ancient Chinese and Etruscan ritual vessels in her show titled, "Mythical Reliquaries for the Ancient Future". Do not miss this!
Our Holiday Open House will take place December 2 and 3 (yes we changed the date). We will be celebrating both days with fantastic art, great gift ideas, and festive treats, so be sure to bring your Christmas (wish) list!
As we usher in the long season of over indulging, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with the most important indulgences of all, family and friends!
