Even though the Final Friday Art Walks are officially over for the season, we will continue to have monthly events. We hope you can join us this Friday, September 30, 5-8pm. As always, a little food, beverages and socializing. We add new work all the time and this month is no exception. We are excited to have functional ceramics by local artist Marcus Najac and Portland artist, Careen Stoll; and blown glass from a regular visitor to Cedar City, Doug Sheafor of AlBo Glass in Kansas. We are restocked with gallery favorites: Christophe Poly "architectural" jewelry, new wire wrapped jewelry by Emily Start, fused glass necklaces by Kelly Yeats, and handmade cards by Lynne Toepfer. In addition, we have new paintings by Brian Hoover, John Zajac, and Janet Amundson-Splidsboel.
We continue to enhance the website. We are now in the process of adding individual artist pages with longer bios, and when available, links to artist's process videos. Right now you can view videos by Janet Amundson-Splidsboeland Andrew Marvick,
UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS We are privileged to have several solo exhibits scheduled for the next three months. We will host Brian Hoover, "Old and New" on October 28, 2016 from 5-8pm. The show, will feature a selection of Brian’s earlier, significant works as well as several new pieces that will debut on the 28th.
Mark your calendars for Andrew Marvick, "New Essays on Pentachromacy" on November 18, 2016, from 5-8pm. Andrew will be showing new work--exciting! "What is pentachromacy?" you ask. Here's your answer!
On December 9, 2016, Susan Harris will show her signature work inspired by ancient Chinese and Etruscan ritual vessels. Her work in this category has been shown all over the country, so we are thrilled for the opportunity to show a true oeuvre by this master artist.
December 9 will also be our holiday open house, so be sure to bring your Christmas (wish) list! In the meantime, here's to autumn!
