UK Team Horse Show!

Wingswept Farm will be hosting the UK Saddleseat Team Horse Show Sunday October 16th. Come watch and support the hard work these college students have put into planning a truly spectacular afternoon! The show will have a silent auction full of lots of cool things (like a week of Summer Camp at Wingswept!), raffles for free lessons, apparel, and a concession stand with proceeds going to benefit the UK Saddleseat Team. And of course... a horse show!!! The auction starts at 11:00, and the show starts at noon. If you are, or if you have friends who are curious about Wingswept and our lesson program, this is a perfect opportunity to see these lesson horses performing at their finest. And of course at the same time supporting the hard work of our young adults at something they are truly passionate about! Go Wildcats!!

We need your help.

As some of you are aware, the USDA has proposed additions to the Horse Protection Act to prevent intentional "soring" of horses. While we are very much against horses being mistreated and in pain, the rule changes are very broad and would, in trotting horse cases, actually CAUSE them to become sore. At Wingswept, we train and teach on trotting horses. If this rule were to be passed it would dramatically impact our training business and make some of our lesson horses unusable. We are asking you to please comment on these rule changes and ask that trotting horse breeds be exempt by visiting Every comment helps! For more information or if you have questions please call or text us. To see what Chris and Stephanie have to say click here. To read Stephanie's comment click here. If you would like to comment, but are to busy or unsure what to say please let us know and we can help!
