Introducing: Bayview Community Co-op’s Assembly Team

We hope you enjoyed learning more about our team member Tay Durden! Next up, we have a few words from Ruth Morales.

Bayview Community Co-op’s Sales & Marketing Team, Tandia O’Neal and Chris Wakefield, sat down with Tay Durden, Ruth Morales and Davido Crow over the last week of April to learn about their experiences with the team. These three members, along with Chris, are Food Program Associates at Bayview Community Coop.

Ruth is a Bayview native. Her work runs from Assembly to Delivery, and she’s also a longtime volunteer with Bayview Hunter’s Point Community Advocates!

Ruth shared: “I was inspired to work here when I started volunteering at the very start of the pandemic, and people were realizing there was a huge need for healthy food. We saw a lot of people scared to go out and buy groceries, and wanted to meet that need. Something I want people to know about us is that we are community sustaining community! We grew up here, and it feels good to be a part of that change coming from within.”

Thank You and Stay Tuned!
