“This is a revolutionary concept and will work very well here.”  “I want to be a part of this as it has captured my heart.” These are a few of the responses from pastors to the new ministry that the Lord is leading us to develop.  We will use monthly soccer (football) tournaments to provide local pastors opportunity to share the word with local youth.  Community leaders will be involved so as to encourage the village to put back into its youth and to promote the acceptance of the ministry to the whole area and not just one location.   Small groups will be developed and led by local pastors that will help develop the students walk with God and to help identify what talents or skills the students have that can be transformed into a means of supporting themselves financially once the time comes for that.   Through all of this Jonathan will begin working with and training the local pastors on basic scriptural foundations.  He is currently writing trainings on how to study the Bible and other basic biblical trainings.   The goal is to reach the outlying youth who do not know God and help them prepare for life on both the physical and spiritual side.  This will be done while developing relationships within the community and providing training for the pastors who are desperately looking for mentorship and training.  Jonathan has had many meetings and God has opened doors for connection with some of the more influential denominational leaders in the region.     He continues to reveal the correct people in order for this to come to pass.

“We have become very a-custom to crusades as a way to reach the lost but this new concept will bring great response as it is new and has not been done before”.

“This has the potential to reach even Muslim children and to win them to the Lord as well.”

This month, April wrapped up the school year at Hope by coordinating their 10 year anniversary celebration and the first ever graduation!  It was a busy time, but the results were worth it!  While the school is firmly Christian, because of the quality education offered, there are students from all faith backgrounds.  At the graduation, prophetic words were given to each of the eight graduates.  After the ceremony, the family of the one Muslim graduate came and shared how impactful the graduation was, and how it made her want to move to send her kids to kids to Hope! the “messy/ muddy parts” and that God would bring in the harvest!
