This week is our Early Birds service at 9.15am in the Hall. Margaret is doing the story about the conversion of St. Paul, who hated Jesus and went about killing Christians!
But Jesus appeared to him and then he went round all the known world, spreading the Gospel (Good News) and converting people to Christianity and starting churches wherever he went.
The earliest writings about Jesus’ teachings are in the letters (epistles) St.Paul wrote to the churches he started. Many of them date from about 45AD, just 15 years after Jesus’ death and Resurrection.
Just a reminder there is no Messy Church next week.
The week after, 15th Sept, there is a Team Service at 10:00am at St.Thomas’ which Rev Michael will be taking as Sharon is away, so there is no 9.15am service.
Michael took our last Family Communion before Sharon joined us, so it would be lovely if some of us were able to join him and support him as he supported us.
Please pray for all our children and young people going back for the start of the new school year next week – and particularly for the large number of our little ones starting their very first term at school.
