This Sunday is Sharon’s 1st Family Communion with us at 9.15am, so I do hope many of you will be able to come and join us, if you are not away on holiday.
I have been asked by Christopher Clews, if his mum Christina’s friends would be able to visit her, once he and Shelley go back to school next term (they are both teachers).
But it has occurred to me that many of her friends no longer drive and their mobility is not as good as it was!
I think this is actually a wider problem. We have many older members of our congregation that do not drive and are perhaps becoming housebound and more lonely and isolated from their friends.
We also have some younger members of our congregation, whose children are at school and who do not have full time jobs.
Is there an opportunity to start a pool of those who could spare a few minutes to collect and drop off those who would like to visit each other?
Please let me have your thoughts on this.
In the meantime can anyone help ferry people to 3 Campbell Drive to see Christina from early September. She would dearly love to see her many friends.
