Today, I am writing you as the Vice-President of both Friends of Chatham and The Arts & Cultural Council of the Rappahannock (RappArts). Our two groups have cooperated in the past on several projects, including the first Plein Air Art Day in 2016, the Artisans, Art and History event in 2017, and in last year’s drama program for local students, Local History-Live! Now, Friends of Chatham have graciously allowed RappArts to use Riverside’s performance of The Color Purple as its fundraiser this month.

RappArts was a sponsoring group for last year’s “Johnny P. Johnson Day” and the community’s first neighborhood “PorchFest” music event. We also have developed an online arts and community event calendar,www.Rapp-Arts.org. More information on the organization and its activities is also on the website. This performance of The Color Purple will support an ongoing project of RappArts honoring the African American experience.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. I sincerely appreciate your support.
