The Office of Inclusive Excellence

Spring 2017 Issue #2
As we begin our spring semester, many of our students, faculty and staff are experiencing much anxiety and fear due to policy changes happening on the national level.  More than ever, now is the time for us as a campus community to come together and listen deeply to each other to better understand our concerns and different points of view.  The two major initiatives listed below, The Diversity Learning Series and the Equity and Inclusion Plan, support a healthy campus climate through Creating an Inclusive and Respectful Community for all.

The Office of Inclusive Excellence is pleased to offer the Diversity Learning Series, a collection of workshops on issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion. The workshops are open to all faculty and staff. The purpose of the series is to offer content knowledge and practical skills, based largely on the results of the Diversity Mapping Project and the Campus Climate Study. The series is aligned with one of President Ochoa’s themes for this academic year—“Creating a more inclusive and respectful community.”

Certificate of Completion
We are offering a Certificate of Completion to those who complete the core courses as well as 4 electives during the 2016-17 academic year.

The faculty/staff survey takes 4 minutes or less to complete. Look for the survey in your email and please take a few minutes to complete it.  Learn More
