Passive House Retrofits: Four Unique Case Studies

May 14, 4:00-5:00 PM

Presenter Lois Arena will explore the challenges and potential solutions for retrofitting 4 very different projects to the Passive House standard. The content will cover general challenges of deep energy retrofits, the typical steps involved and dive into the details of real projects attempting to achieve certification.  The case studies cover high rise residential applications, a hotel, senior housing and dormitories as well as detailing pathways for historic restoration.

DesignPH 2.0 a Powerful Tool – Basics

DesignPH is a powerful tool which allows Passive House professionals to easily draw, manage and simulate buildings alongside the PHPP excel model.  This 1 hour session will introduce participants to the basics of DesignPH and provide a window into some of the capabilities of this critical piece of the Passive House toolkit.
