Staying Connected

Two Worship Services
Sunday at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

In-Person and Online

We are excited to be back for our second week of in-person worship this Sunday, July 12. Please remember the change in time for the contemporary service to 11 a.m. This is to allow time between the services for exiting and entering as well as some sanitizing. If you weren't here last week and want to view a short video to prepare for your visit, click HERE

Those of you who submitted an RSVP should have received an email with your seating assignment. When you stop at the Welcome Center to check-in, both the people checking in and the ushers will also have your seat assignment and the usher will show you to your seat.

If you are still uncomfortable returning to in-person worship yet, that's perfectly OK. You can still watch our online worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 11 a.m. We have two options for viewing the service:
  1. Livestream
  2. Facebook Live
Both options will connect you to a Livestream of the service.

The following information should help you prepare for the service. The scripture and song lyrics can be found by clicking on the scripture reference and song title.

Share Your Bounty!

First, I just wanted to thank everyone for all of the hard work you have put into your gardens this year. The Tithing Gardens are looking the best they ever have and I have received several notes and comments from other church members and even some from people living in the subdivisions that live on either side of the church

Second, I know many of you are starting to harvest produce from your plots and maybe looking for ways to share your gifts with others. Starting on July 6, donations can be dropped off at the church on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 5 p.m. We will have a table set up outside the back doors of the church off the parking lot by the kitchen for you to put produce in a safe and non-contact way. Food collected on those days will be shared with one of the following groups:
  • Wood’s Edge Summer Program (using the outside church grounds on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons). Produce will be used for daily snacks and will also be available for the children to take home each day to share with their families
  • Church Women United Food Pantry – food dropped off on Tuesday to be distributed on Wednesdays at their pantry in Lafayette.
  • Lafayette Transitional Housing – food dropped off on Thursday will be donated to LTH on Friday to use in their kitchen
We will plan on collecting donated produce each Tuesday and Thursday through the end of the Wood’s Edge Summer Program on August 6 and will reassess our collection days and times as the summer progresses. If you are not able to drop off produce at the church, I would encourage you to drop off produce directly to Lafayette Transitional Housing or Food Finders in Lafayette. Additionally, please feel free to share your produce with other groups in our community as well as your neighbors, friends, and fellow church members–you never know when a zucchini, a bag of green beans, or a nice red tomato could end up being the blessing that someone needs to get them through the day.

If you have any questions or need any help, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

Happy gardening (and stay cool!),

Jim Stephens

Bashor Home School Supplies
