Thank you to the Titchner Family - for organizing and hosting a Fabulous "Dock Concert” for all their friends, neighbours & RLCA members!

They hired the Dave Murphy Band... what a terrific "socially distanced" day with awesome tunes!  There were 100+ boats, jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards and people on nearby docks!  People floated, danced with noodles & took a few dives to cool off on what was a beautiful, sunny day on Redstone Lake

Unfortunately, there can be no in-person CEWF Annual Communications Meeting at the Haliburton Fish Hatchery this year owing to the Covid-19 virus pandemic. Instead, they will be holding a Zoom virtual meeting for lake representatives.

This meeting will be held at 1pm on Saturday, September 12th.

If you have a water management question in advance of the meeting, and we encourage these, please send it along in an email at any time prior to the 9th.  Every attempt will be made to include that item in a presentation.

The basic agenda will be somewhat similar to prior communication meetings and include: CEWF business administration updates, TSW Management Planning and Capital Projects update, water management from the CEWF perspective, TSW water management report, and a Q&A.  The meeting is expected to be about 1 ½ hours.

If you would like to participate in this virtual meeting (on behalf of RLCA) we will be accepting a maximum of two representatives, please send an email to if you are interested or have a question.

Annual Membership Drive
Due to Covid 19 this year we were not able to do the door-to-door drop of our membership packages.  Instead we tried a variety of ways to reach out to new and existing members:

  • Posted 'Join Your Cottage Association' signs on the main cottage roads
  • Placed an ad in the Highlander newspaper on the Civic Holiday and Labour Day Weekends
  • Ran radio ads on Moose FM during the Civic Holiday long weekend
  • Held a 'Challenge to our Members' contest to refer a neighbour to join RLCA
  • Delivered a sign to be posted on the advertising wall outside West Guilford Shopping Center.  Waiting for Bill Burden to find a spot.

Refer A Neighbour Challenge
We are pleased to announce the winner of our contest is Jim Lord from Bitter Lake! Our contest ran from July 26th until August 16th and Jim was the winner of a $50 gift certificate for Cottage Country Log Cabin in West Guilford.  Thank you Jim we appreciate your support!

Our goal for 2020 is to attain 355 memberships.
To achieve this goal we need at least 23 more membership renewals. Check your membership status at the top of this eBlast to see if you still need to pay for 2020.  Thanks everyone.
