Happy New Year from NNERPP, and welcome to the first issue of Volume 4 of the NNERPP Newsletter! We start off the new year by first taking a look back at 2019 – an important year for NNERPP and all of our members. Just before the holidays, we released our 2019 NNERPP Year In Review report, featuring NNERPP’s efforts and activities and the work of our members for the 2019 calendar year. "Heartbeat of the Community: Recruiting and Retaining Teachers in Rural Schools": This REL Midwest and Detroit Public TV documentary presents research on teacher recruitment and retention across the country, specifically in rural Michigan, and the actions that state and local education leaders are taking to recruit and retain teachers.
