ATTEND. 

The first meeting for the Toll Bros. 350 residential unit development -"Middletown Walk" - will be held tomorrow, June 19th, at 6:30 pm at Town Hall.


This Toll Bros. plan mostly complies with the Circus Liquors Redevelopment Plan (CLRP) because the Township Committee created it just for the developers and unanimously approved it on August 20th, 2018.

The CLRP did NOT take into account any environmental concerns or public comments from any environmental experts or residents living in close proximity to the site, and there were 181 people at that meeting who came out to be heard!  Just because the Township has an affordable housing requirement doesn't mean the opinions and comments from the residents are unimportant and don't matter.

We were here first, we drive these roads, our quality of life will forever be altered because of this excessive development!  Wake up, Middletown. We have an outdated Master Plan that is catered to projects our Township wants to succeed and not used as protection for our community against overdevelopment. 
  



NOW IS THE TIME TO VOICE YOUR CONCERNS.

We have another chance to be heard. The Planning Board has the right to make recommendations to the Township Committee for amendments to be made to the plan.

• 350 units = 750+ new drivers on nearby roads (just from the residential units!)

• More school children in our schools

• PILOT program (payment in Lieu of taxes) could take needed money away from our schools

• All open space is unoccupied, it's also NOT USEABLE.

• Don't be fooled! This is the same plan they have been showing for 3 years, prior to the Redevelopment Plan 


KNOW WHAT THE TOWNSHIP IS APPROVING.

The residential plan for 66 acres includes 350 units: 280 cookie-cutter townhouses and 70 segregated affordable housing units. McClees Creek, A Category One waterway, (which means it’s of exceptional ecological significance), is located within wetlands on the property.

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE NOW. Our extraordinary Legal team, Litwin & Provence, LLC, needs to be funded. We are lucky to have them all. Regarding the lawsuit challenging the redevelopment designation, we still have not yet received notice of a decision by Judge Quinn.
