We are excited to announce that we have secured some significant funding to support a small number of schools in the wider Bristol area with a free leadership development opportunity, run jointly by the teaching school alliance and the Endeavour Trust.
We are looking for primary schools who wish to develop a pair of teachers as part of a fully funded leadership programme which lasts for one year. One is an 'emerging leader' and one an 'aspiring leader'.
This is someone who is a subject leader, perhaps an ambitious recently qualified teacher who is wishing to develop leadership skills within their own school. They will be able to access six leadership development twilight sessions, run by experienced school leaders and are supported to complete an improvement project in their own school.
Aspiring leader: This is someone who already has some leadership experience, but is aspiring for senior leadership in the future or perhaps an SLE role. They will also have access to six twilight leadership development sessions, but will have the opportunity to step out of their own school to lead an improvement project in another setting - this is fully funded for six days across the year. The aspiring leaders will also benefit from the support of a leadership coach and will learn how to carry out and publish an evidence based research project to complement their training.
If you are interested in securing a place for a pair of teachers from your school, please contact Mike Eatwell by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
at the teaching school as soon as possible with the names and contact details of your emerging and aspiring leaders. We will then be in touch with some further information. We only have a few pairs of places remaining.
The programme will begin at the start of term 4.
We hope you will consider this as a fantastic free opportunity to develop our leaders of the future in the city and look forward to hearing from you soon.
