Shaun Forgie is an internationally recognized entomologist. In his previous role as a research scientist for Landcare Research, New Zealand’s foremost environmental research institute, he received a science excellence award for his key role in the Dung Beetle Project that ultimately led to his company, Dung Beetle Innovations. 

Doug Pow is a Manjimup farmer that has discovered how to store carbon in the soil, reduce methane emissions from his cattle & improve the productivity of his whole farm. The cattle & avocado producer started feeding his cows biochar seven years ago to see if he could store carbon in the ground using the natural system of dung beetles. 

Melissa Rebbeck is on the S.A. Dairy Industry Fund Board and is a cattle producer. In the last 4 years she has been instrumental in developing and managing projects including; utilising biochar to reduce nitrogen inputs and improve soil health, replicated soil health trials, 10 soil health case studies, implementation of soil moisture probes and feeding biochar to 500 dairy cattle to improve milk quality.
