It's Time for Change Week!

Time for Change is a week of events focused on increasing environmental stewardship and community engagement across various disciplines - social justice, service, music, business, and more! Time for Change will be hosting more than 15 events with OSU student organizations, speakers, and departments.

Coursework and Important Dates
New Way to Check the Status of Registrar Forms

 Students will now be able to check the status of any Registrar form that is currently an online workflow. To check the status of these forms go to the Registrar's website under the “Forms” section and use the link “Workflow Status Check".

This includes: Grade Forgiveness, Change of Grade, Change of Record, Late Fee Petition, EM Test Credit and Bio Demo forms.

Participate in Undergraduate Research: EEOB 3498

Students will conduct supervised independent research in behavioral ecology, learn applied statistics, and present their findings in a poster symposium at the end of the semester. This course is particularly suitable for students who are looking for an applied undergraduate research experience and considering a graduate degree.

2019 New Horizons Conference
The second annual New Horizons in Conservation Conference: Diversity, Equity, and Justice will take place this year in Chicago, Illinois. Students and young professionals who are historically underrepresented in the environmental field as well as those who are committed to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field are welcome.

Certified Interpretive Guide Workshop
Learn how to effectively deliver interpretive programs to the public. Students use the promo code: CIG-DARK19 and earn 2 hours of academic credit for ENR 4193 with instructor permission.

Scholarships and Awards
5 Scholarships available for Wetland Delineation Training Course
 
Taught by a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), this course will incorporate an equal mix of class and field time that will include basic vegetation identification, detailed review, and discussion of wetland hydrology and hydric soil indicators, and proper completion of a Wetland Determination Data Form.

NYC Curb-To-Market Challenge
 
 The NYC Curb-To-Market Challenge (CTMC), put on by manufacturing entrepreneur Chris Graff, is a contest offering a $500,000 prize (split between a $100,000 cash prize and a $400,000 equity investment in the associated startup) for the best idea and business plan to re-purpose NYC's recyclable waste and locally manufacture a product to sell in the NYC market.

2019 CFAES Celebration of Students Week 
Events and activities will be FREE to current undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. Additional information will be shared on the monitors throughout CFAES.
  • Monday, April 1-Giveaway items will be available from 10:00-2:00 pm in lobby areas of Ag Admin, Kottman Hall and Ag Engineering (Bring your BuckID to receive items.)
  • Tuesday, April 2-Dessert Trucks will be available from 11:00-2:30 pm in the Fyffe Court Turnaround (Buckeye Donuts, Graeter’s Ice Cream & Rime Time Curiously Crafted Pops, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.)
  • Wednesday, April 3-Join us at the Global Food Fair from 6:00-7:30 pm in Ag Admin Auditorium (Lots of great snacks featuring food from around the world.)
  • Thursday, April 4-CFAES Welcome to Columbus Program for students enrolled in CFAES at OSU Lima, Newark, Mansfield, Marion, Wooster and Transfer students.
  • Thursday, April 4-Celebration of Students: CFAES Live beginning at 5:15 pm in the Ohio Union Archie Griffin Ballroom (Tickets are required to attend this event and can be purchased for $15 at Kottman Hall 210 or Ag Admin 100.)
  • Friday, April 5-Plant a succulent & Therapy Dogs from 1:00-3:00 pm outside Kottman Hall (In case of inclement weather they will be located in the lobby area of Kottman Hall.)
