Moving Ahead
Open House & Public Forum

Tonight

MovingAhead, a joint project between the City of Eugene and Lane Transit District, will hold a public hearing this evening (Monday, October 21) at 7:30 PM in Harris Hall. Staff will hold an open house in the lobby from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM to answer project questions.

MovingAhead will set a 10-year vision of transportation investment along five important corridors – Highway 99, River Road, 30th Avenue to LCC, Coburg Road, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Multiple alternatives are being considered in each corridor – No Build, Enhanced Corridor, or EmX. The public hearing is an important opportunity for the community to weigh in on investment package options. City Council and LTD’s Board of Directors will consider testimony during deliberations on a final decision this winter.

Anyone unable to attend the public hearing can submit written comment to questions@movingahead.org before 5:00 PM on November 4, 2019. For more information visit http://www.movingahead.org/public-hearing/.

Central Eugene In Motion
 Event Moved to November

The Tuesday, October 22 Central Eugene In Motion Alternatives Review Open House has been rescheduled to November 19 in order to complete traffic modeling work to help inform public input and decision-making. The meeting will be held at the City of Eugene Campbell Community Center (155 High St.) from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

At the meeting, staff will unveil concept designs at the open house for the three key areas. People will have the opportunity to weigh in on the design alternatives at the open house and Engage Eugene.

To date, people have submitted more than a thousand comments through stakeholder meetings, online mapping and surveys, the July 10 Open House, and a series of focus groups with sub-area stakeholders. The project team is now reviewing community input as it begins developing the initial design alternatives.

Why is this project happening? Watch a video highlighting the timing of the study and what's driving the discussion.

Scooter Survey

A reminder to complete this survey about the E-Scooter Pilot Program. The City is asking for community feedback about e-scooters and how they may potentially operate in Eugene. Your feedback will be used to help inform how we review e-scooter operators' permit applications and ultimately which company(ies) we select to operate in Eugene. Please take a minute to and share your input.
