This year seems to have got off to a flying start, it's hard to believe that it is almost March! At IHT we are very excited to now starting to lay plans for this year's Annual Global Conference, which is being held on October 6th and 7th, at Hyatt Centric Resort, in Park City, Utah. If you haven't already been to one, it is is truly fantastic opportunity to hear some of the great names in health care speak and discuss how they use our equipment in their very successful practices. It is also an amazing opportunity to network and meet other practitioners in similar industries, paving the way for referrals, collaborations and lifelong friendships.

Prior to the conference, we hold an intensive two day training workshop, which enables you to earn either your introductory, intermediate or advanced IHT Certificates. For conference attendees only, we are also awarding an exclusive IHT Certificate of Excellence, which shows that you have successfully passed all three levels and have completed a minimum of 16 hours of intensive training and hands on practice sessions with our international trainers and speakers.  This time investment is invaluable for long term productivity and efficiency and gives you full mastery of all of our equipment.

If you haven't already, done so, please join us on Facebook, Twitter or Google+ as we are regularly posting, our latest news items, tips, tricks and updates. For those who suffer from environmental sensitivities the quality of life can be dramatically impaired so we wanted to share a few, easy to implement tips for helping to protect the home against mold.
If you suspect that you may be sensitive to mold, it is worth investing in a simple home testing kit. These kits will tell you exactly how much mold is in your home and which rooms or areas are worst affected.  As a general rule, keep the humidity in your home below 50%, which will help to prevent growth and if you have a basement or a garage attached to the house, install dehumidifiers, noting that it is important to remember to clean these regularly.
Some simple tricks to help are often ones that we overlook, such as making sure that you air out damp raincoats or shoes before putting them away, taking laundry out of the washing machine promptly, ensuring that it is thoroughly dry before tidying away and carefully wiping out the inside of the rubber on both washing machines and dryers.  Pay attention to shower curtains and bathroom or kitchen tiles, which can be wiped down with an anti-mold solution and before simply changing the bag in the garbage, take a minute to wash out the can and dry it thoroughly.  Lastly, be aware that soil can breed mold, so check your houseplants and also the underside of their leaves regularly, be careful to avoid over watering and ensure that your plants have enough light to help them to repel the mold.

Symptoms of a mold sensitivity include, sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, cough and postnasal drip, itchy eyes, nose or throat, watery eyes, worsened asthma and sometimes, dry scaly skin.
