I'm Back! Some New Updates from the Purple Crayon
I was surprised to realize that I haven't updated the Purple Crayon since February. I've just been busy! But I've been keeping track of editors moving, and so the Who's Moving Where page has 14 new items, which includes 3 new imprints and publishers.
In other news, I've decided that I can open up more to freelance work (I'd partly shut down when I started my new job at Kane Press) if I take steps to avoid conflicts of interest. So I've updated my PC Editorial Services information to explain what I'm doing, including the limitations to avoid a conflict of interest with my job.
I'm still doing workshops and conferences, and I've got new ones on my Workshops page, including full details of this summer's Revision Retreat at the Highlights Foundation (which is already filling up), and of the fall offering of the Crash Course in Children's Book Publishing (online, meeting weekly from mid-October to mid-December).
I'll try to get back to more frequent updates, but can't make any promises. I hope you are doing well and finding time for creativity.
Take care,
Harold Underdown
