National Anthem sung by Connie (Blackwood) MacLeod
as United States Marine Corps
reenact flag raising at Iwo Jima

Video Premiere

May 31, 2021

Dear <<First Name *>>,

I hope this note finds you and your family safe and well.

Since I began writing William Ridley and the Celtic Cross, I've not had much time for music, except singing praises on Sunday!

However, thanks to prompting from my dear friend Cathy, that's about to change.

Spent this past Thursday going through my video collection, smiling at the 70's & 80's make up and styles, not to mention the country outfits and boots, and found a few crackers.

In honor of Memorial Day
and all who sacrifice for their country
I'd like to share this memory with you.

The National Anthem
Orlando Predators Football Game
Circa 1999

It was a great honor, and not only did it give me goose bumps to sing Francis Scott Key's words penned in 1814 as Fort McHenry was being bombarded, but to see the men of the United States Marine Corps reenact the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima.

Freedom is hard won by brave men and women who give their life's blood to protect and defend.  May God bless the United States of America, her Military Families & Patriots everywhere who valiantly defend our Liberty!

Hope you'll join me for the premiere

Since I'm bringing out the vintage videos, thought I'd share a few retro modeling shots from that era of my career.
These black and whites were taken by the very talented Christopher Lee Helton.
Chris makes you feel relaxed and natural during each shoot.  True talent to get such great shots from a goofy girl like me! :>}
Busy as everyone is these days, I'm so glad you've allowed me to be part of your life!
No matter the miles, you are precious to me.

If you have time, I'd love to hear how you're doing
&
Hope to see you on Monday!

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you!

With Love,

Connie
P.S.  This shot was taken by my handsome, birthday boy hubby, Roddy!  Love him and all these daffodils too.
