Welcome Fall!

Dear OLFC members,

Happy Fall!  We are welcoming cooler weather, futbal and football, and a new school year.  OLFC recently finished up our annual fall individual fundraiser.  It’s perfect for this time of year.  This fundraiser allows players to sell mums in the fall which is something people tend to buy this time of year anyway.  They receive 50% of their sales to offset their individual soccer expenses; the club does not receive any credit.

As always, the Mum Fundraiser was a success for all players that participated!  Every year we offer this individual fundraiser to all players to help offset the cost of soccer.  I run the fundraiser with the help of coaches,  team managers and Krohs Nursery and believe it’s important because it helps our families financially.  Sports are an added cost to any household and sometimes tough to fit in, so we are very proud to offer this opportunity to help.

Here are some club stats from our annual mum fundraiser this year:

Sold 572 Mums

8 OLFC Team Participated

41 OLFC Players Participated

$2,431 made by OLFC players to offset soccer costs

Most Sold:  One player sold 44 mums and applied a credit of $187 to her account

In addition, club fundraisers are just as important because they help keep our club dues down.  Thank you to all who attend our dining out nights and the 2nd Annual OLFC Golf tournament.  Please continue to support these efforts so we can keep providing affordable soccer to Harford County.

Wishing you all continued success,

Jessica Patino

Coaches Corner:

The key to soccer and being good soccer players in the future is being able to make their own decisions, make decisions quickly, and to be creative thinkers. Its important for your kids/players to make mistakes and its important for your kids/players to make decisions and its okay if its not the best decision.
