Welcome to the 2016/17 Season at Old Line FC

Dear Old Line FC Families –

My name is Jessica Patino, President of Old Line Football Club, and it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2016/17 soccer season at Old Line FC.  This year brings with it a great deal of change.  In some cases, our children are playing on new teams, playing for new coaches, playing in new age groups, playing on different sized fields…and even playing at new clubs.  So if this is your first year with Old Line FC, welcome to our family!

In our second year, the club has grown drastically from six teams in 2015 to seventeen teams in 2016!  This growth has come with its challenges, but thanks to an incredible team of volunteers, we are able to offer a first-class soccer club experience while maintaining a practical cost structure for our members.  That being said, we encourage anyone interested in volunteering at the club to send an email to with your interest.  We are always looking for people to help, so please do not be shy.

I want to personally wish all of our Old Line FC teams the best of luck as we continue to compete in the summer tournament season and look towards the league season ahead.  As a club, we have already experienced a tremendous amount of success across many age groups this year and look forward to what our teams have in store for us the rest of the season.

Compete, have fun, be safe…and once again, welcome to Old Line FC.

Jessica Patino
President, Old Line FC

Coaches Corner: Concussions in Soccer
In November 2015, US Soccer announced the restriction of heading the ball for players under the age of 11.  However, restricting head balls is a campaign that has gone on for the better part of two decade.  Thank to advocates like Cindy Parlow Cone, rules have been changed to protect our children.

Parlow Cone was a member of the US Women's National team and suffered numerous concussions in her career. Read her story by clicking the following link:

Old Line FC takes concussion protocols extremely seriously.  We adhere to US Soccer mandates and advocate for the protection of our players.  We encourage our players to use protective headgear and focus on educating our players on proper heading techniques at the appropriate age to help reduce head injuries in our sport.
