The Ghomeshi Effect launches its FWYC campaign

Between finalizing the script, starting up regular rehearsals and taking the conversation about sexual assault into local Ottawa high schools, it's been a busy couple of weeks here at The Ghomeshi Effect and we are so excited that the show is starting to come together!

Art can be a powerful vehicle for opening up dialogue about social issues, and that is what drives our team. Creating a show that resonates and makes an impact takes time, motivation, and a group of dedicated individuals -- but it also takes funding and a little love.

Join our FWYC campaign!

While we wait patiently to hear back from our grant requests, we could use some help to rent a rehearsal space, to promote the show, to continue our outreach work, and to make sure everyone involved is paid an equitable salary. So we have started a Fund What You Can campaign, hosted by Toronto Fringe.

Will you be on the jury? Act as a witness? A court clerk? Are you a crown prosecutor? A defense lawyer or a judge? Can you stand in as the Supreme Court? We have perks for everyone who makes a donation, big or small, and we will update the page throughout the month.

Help us by making a donation and we promise it will go towards making a show you won't soon forget.

Don't have the cash to spare? Help us out by sharing the campaign on social media or with other like-minded folk who you think might want to help.
