                         HellBound Books Newsletter
                                                  Issue #1, February 2017
Welcome to the very first HellBound Books newsletter!  Since this is our first month of existing as an independent publisher of horror, bizarro, dark erotica, and poetry, everything is new!
We have launched our offerings to the horror market with a handful of exemplary writers: Xtina Marie (dark poetess extraordinaire of Dark Musings and Stoker Award nominee), James H Longmore (Brit horror & Bizarro author, writer of the highly successful creature novel ‘Pede and the cult bizarro classic The Erotic Odyssey of Colton Forshay), David Owain Hughes (extreme horror writer) and the 7th ranked Latino author of 2016, Carlos Colon!
Not a bad start, I’m sure you would agree – especially with an extraordinary duo of shorts anthologies from Stephen Helmes, a wonderfully eclectic poetry/shorts collection from Gocni Shindler and four absolutely amazing anthologies to look forward to before Spring!
We at HellBound Books are particularly pleased with our blog radio show ‘The New Panic Room’ – having just passed its six-month milestone and with a heck of a following! We mix good humor, intelligent conversation and the very best indie authors from the worlds of horror, bizarro, dark erotica, regular erotica, and even romance! Add to this the amazing ‘will they-won’t they’ chemistry between the two hosts (they won’t!) and the Panic Room is an hour and a half not to be missed!
That’s pretty much it for this newsletter – please take a little time to check out the information, visit our website  and treat yourself to a book or two. Be sure to pass this along to anyone else you know who loves horror so they can stay up to date on frightful delights as well!
Thanks for reading – see y’all soon!
                                               NEW RELEASES

Carlos Colón's first published novel is the story of Nicky Negrón, a Puerto Rican salesman in New York City who is turned into foul-mouthed, urban vampire with a taste for the undesirables of society such as sexual predators, domestic abusers and drug dealers.

A tragic anti-hero, Nicky is haunted by profound loss. When his life is cut short due to an unforeseen event at the Ritz-Carlton, it results in a public sex scandal for his surviving family. He then rises from the dead to become a night stalker with a genetic resistance that enables him to retain his humanity, still valuing his family whilst also struggling to somehow maintain a sense of normalcy.

The perfect companion piece to Xtina Marie's Dark Musings – an intriguing mirror image of the darkness you have just read, but no less deep and soul stirring.

What a web she weaves. Light Musings is a poetic narrative—a story told through related poems. Xtina Marie is a master of this style. Known by her fans as the Dark Poet Princess, this term of endearment came about as a result of the horror genre embracing her first book: Dark Musings which continues to garner stellar reviews. Light Musings will not disappoint her loyal fans as darkness is present within these pages as well. However, this latest book will show a much larger audience that Xtina's poetry pulls out every feeling the reader has ever experienced—forcing them to feel with her protagonist. Light Musings shows us that love is made from darkness and light; something Xtina Marie explores like no one else.

Colton Forshay dreams himself into a bizarre sexual dystopia, a world in which nothing is as it should be. Sickening sex acts and sexual violence are the norm and in which the currency is deviant sexual acts. At first disturbed, then intrigued - and aroused - by his dreams of this other world, Colton is drawn deeper in and begins to spend more and more time there; so much so that his wife forces him to visit a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist encourages him to explore the dream world - and our hero goes on an odyssey with his dog/son, Eric, to discover the disturbing truth behind his dream world.

An average teenage girl and her father find themselves caught up in a brutal nightmare at their local recreational centre, when an age-old enemy comes stumbling out of the woods to crash a heavy-metal gig; a gig that has all the promises of being killer. This is one blood-soaked gig you won't want to miss!

Praise for Man-Eating F*cks from Ty Schwamberger (author of The Fields, Deep Dark Woods & The Death of a Horror Writer.)

"Man Eating F*cks is old school horror, but with a new, blood-soaked twist! David Owain Hughes effectively creates enjoyable and lethal characters in this tale that is sure to keep you up at night. This is the type of tale that you need to read with a light on…I'm serious. You better put your seatbelt on 'cause you're in for one helluva ride. Look out, Hughes might very well be headed to the major leagues after this twisted tale! Highly recommended!"

Available only from HellBound Books in Paperback!
The dark side of Xtina Marie's poetry delves into intense emotions: heartache, loss, hurt, pain, rage, and a dangerous consuming love which can drive one insane. Dark Musings is not a collection! The author returned to the centuries old practice of Narrative Poetry—the telling of a story through poetry. If you believe you are brave enough to explore the savage emotions of the human heart; Dark Musings will test your mettle.

'I am Joe's..." is an affectionate homage to the much-loved Reader's Digest series 'I am Joe's…', and a darkly humorous and bizarre parody of the Bruce Jenner story, this story is told from the point of view of a dismembered penis.

Feeder is a dark, disturbing peek into the world of gainers and feeders; grotesquely obese individuals and the people who facilitate their growth for the lascivious pleasure of both parties.

                              COMING FEBRUARY 2017
When you close your eyes, where do you go? What do you see? The moment you drift off into that world of the unknown, you are on a rollercoaster ride, speeding down a track that takes you anywhere it wants to take you. Often it takes us to places that we would never voluntarily go when we’re awake, into a world of darkness, tragedy, and fear. In this virtual reality world, you do things that you would never do when you’re awake, such as jumping from a plane without a chute, or opening the door to a room when you know there is something behind it waiting for you to enter. But dreams can also tell you stories of love, wit, and treasures. You may wake laughing, crying, or screaming, because your dreams know your weaknesses. They know your every thought, and they know how to attack.
That’s not what Nightly Visits is about.

Tick-tock, it’s twelve o’clock, and you still can’t close your eyes. It's six hours before the morning light brings you back to the safety of a living, breathing world. But you’re in luck, good reader, because I have ten stories to tell. Come and see as I lay them out for your pleasure.
So, what will it be? Ghosts and goblins? Witches and thieves? We’ll follow a professional killer as he begins to realize that his latest hit is more than he bargained for. We’ll learn Mamma’s dark secret to a long and life. We’ll watch the six-legged crawlies as they come out of the woodwork and gather for one final attack, and much, much more.
There is so much to tell and so little time. We must get started. So come. Take my hand, and I’ll lead you down the trail of dreams. Don’t fear. The woods are dark, and the moon is hidden behind pillows of clouds, but I know the way. I’ll take you on a dark journey of love, revenge, betrayal, murder, and things that go bump in the night.
