Take the PGOSA Social Activity Survey
(Survey closes December 22, 2022)
Next Chronicle Newsletter
No Chronicle January 1st so some of us can have a break. 😀 🎆🎆
The next issue of The Chronicle will be January 15th!
Season’s Greeting and Merry Christmas!
To all our PGOSA members, current and newsletter receivers, we wish you the very best for this holiday season! May you have a Merry Christmas and bring in the New Year full of joy -- enjoy the festive times with family, friends, bring another year to closure , and start fresh in January.
Make it your New Year’s resolution to get involved with PGOSA – participating in activities and helping organizers where you are able.
For PGOSA it has been very busy year – membership since the two COVID years has rebounded and we have offered some new activities which hopefully stimulated you physically and mentally. With the recent social survey and tabulated results we will be in a better position to plan and organize social events appealing to members.
For now take the time to rejuvenate, rest up, and we will see you in the New Year!
Social Survey
Our survey will remain open for another week, closing December 22nd. If you haven’t responded yet, please take the few minutes to let us know how you are feeling regarding PGOSA social events. We do want your feedback so the newly formed Social Committee can plan accordingly. A summary of the results will be in the Chronicle for the end of January’s edition. Thanks for your feedback!
A Soccer Update from Activity Manager Rob Jonas
The PGOSA Board of Directors has approved Indoor Soccer as a new activity commencing January 6th 2023.
Not only does this offer an opportunity for local soccer groups and interested PGOSAns to play in a controlled environment through the winter, sharing the facility on Tuesdays with the Walking Soccer group would cut both player groups' out of pocket fees to rent the Arena.
There has been good interest from local existing groups and if you are interested in either Walking Soccer or regular Soccer at the Arbutus Meadows Arena starting in January 2023, please contact me directly at rjonas13@hotmail.com

PGOSA Curling Winter Season
A “winter season” of PGOSA curling will start Thursday, January 5th for eight weeks, continuing to the end of February.
Teams are rejigged and spaces for curlers will become available as some participants head south for the winter.
If you would like to be part of this COED recreational curling league please contact Jim Powell (trijim@shaw.ca) ASAP.
As a recreational league we strive to make balanced teams so all can enjoy the sport. All levels of curlers welcome as those with tons of experience help others who are just starting this sport! Our format makes for a fun, slightly competitive league, where all can enjoy social contact and the sport of curling with other likeminded seniors.
Contact Jim Powell (trijim@shaw.ca)
If you would like to join us, but can’t curl every Thursday you can add your name to the spares list. Spares are always needed so contact Jim if you would like to spare.
