Happy Friday, Huskies! This week, we are excited to feature our Generate community team and shout out to Rooted Living for officially launching their venture 🎉

A Note from Our Sherman Center Director: Ted Johnson
"In light of October reminding us to celebrate LGBTQIA History Month, Filipino American History Month, Global Diversity Awareness Month, and NU Mental Health Awareness week, in addition to the recent desecration at our local NU Hillel House, I'd like to remind all our community members that you matter.  It's our collective Sherman goal to make sure that our entire community feels seen, heard, respected, and comfortable in the Sherman Center environment (both in-person and digitally) as you explore entrepreneurship, product development, and beyond.
This isn't just a statement; in fact, our Rethinking the Sherm effort is a living, ongoing community-driven effort with the goal of ensuring our spaces, programs, and academics are inclusive and welcoming to all who enter our doors.  If you have ideas big or small to make our entrepreneurship community more welcome and inclusive, I want to hear them. Together, we'll lead the pack and make our community more impactful, and more welcoming, than ever before."

Huge shoutout to our very own Rachel Domb, Founder of Rooted Living, for officially launching her venture! 🎉 We are so proud of you!!! Check out her website by clicking the image below:

Meet one of Rev's teams!
Theodora Christopher, 5th-year biology major, and Benjamin Dottinger, 4th-year health sciences major, are pre-meds and co-founders of the project, inspired by an abroad trip and an honors seminar. While in London, a power outage caused uncertainty about the safety of a temperature-sensitive medication inside a refrigerator, resulting in doctors recommending that the medication be thrown away despite the probability of a flare-up. At SaluTemp, our mission is to offer confidence and comfort to patients and caregivers for safe and effective storage of their biologics. We are building and modifying our prototype based on our market research and perceived customer needs. Prototype testing will continue in January after we iterate our design, followed by marketing our solution to potential buyers.

"The first-ever 3D-printed steel bridge has opened in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It was created by robotic arms using welding torches to deposit the structure of the bridge layer by layer and is made of 4500 kilograms of stainless steel The 12-meter-long MX3D Bridge was built by four commercially available industrial robots and took six months to print.
