SANTA IS COMING TO GUERNEVILLE!
The Russian River Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to spend the Holidays with us out on the River. Our streets are alight with festive wreaths and a beautiful 21' tree in the Plaza, and Santa arrives in his red Miata at 1pm on Saturday, and will be on hand for visits, learning those last minute Christmas wishes, pictures, with hot chocolate, apple cider and goodie bags for the kids. Santa will return in his Miata to be in the Parade of Lights at 7pm, and again for a special visit on Sunday from 1 to 3pm.
Come visit our quaint shops, art galleries, restaurants and pubs, and have a great time and stay with us for the Holidays!
COME ONE, COME ALL!!!
And bring personal hygiene donations!
The Russian River Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, in partnership with Sonoma County Tourism Cares invites you to bring donations of new personal hygiene products (brushes, combs, tooth brushes, small or trial size shampoos, conditioners, body wash, soaps, socks, etc.) for our unhoused and in-need Sonoma County residents. We will have the collection bin on the Plaza for both days of the events. You can also drop off donations in our office at 16209 First Street, Guerneville any day of the week during our posted business hours from Monday through the end of the year.

Christmas Story Time
at 3:30 Saturday!
In partnership with Russian River Books and Letters, the Russian River Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to join us for the first of two special holiday story times this weekend! At 3:30 pm on Saturday, we'll be reading "It's Christmas Everywhere - Celebrations from Around the World," by Hannah Barnaby. Reading will take place on the Plaza, after Santa's visit. Gather round, enjoy our brightly lit tree, grab some free hot cocoa or apple cider, then hear how a pine tree's Christmas wish comes true when a parade of children visit to decorate its branches with unique festive ornaments from around the world - from German nutcrackers to Mexican piñatas, Chinese apples to Ukrainian spiderwebs.
Young readers are invited to experience new and old Christmas traditions through rhyming verse and lush illustrations. This sturdy and unique tree-shaped carousel-format novelty board book can be opened and folded back to create a free-standing Christmas tree using its integrated magnetic closure, and would make a lovely gift.
Be sure to dress warm because it's gonna be cold out there...and you won't want to miss the Parade!

The Main Event:
The Parade of Lights is ON - 7pm!
After being postponed due to rainy weather, we are pleased to announce the Parade is on and the weather will be cold, so just dress warm!
We are so excited to have our Russian River traditional, Very Fairy Christmas-themed Parade of Lights, and thrilled to welcome the community and visitors alike to join us for the festivities in downtown Guerneville! The parade floats will be setting up from 5:30 on, so relax, enjoy a meal or libations or both at a local restaurant or pub (we have many to choose from nearby), get in some holiday shopping, then grab your best spot to watch! There will be hot chocolate and apple cider for as long as it lasts....or as long as Santa's Helpers do :)
We have over 35 floats, so would also appreciate more volunteers too!
