New year...New you...
New Creative Courses start in January

Find your happy mind
at
Artshed Arts in 2020!

-----------

We are looking at improving our mental health this year, for us and our kids.
It's fact that art and being creative can help give you space to think, relax and in fact give you more time to process what you need to do in your real life. Time in a workshop doesn't take time away from you, it actually gives you time back as it helps you process what you need to do in your busy life, which enables you to step out of the workshop ready to tackle the world! It's also time to learn a new skill, focus on whats new and listen, maybe even get some advice on life, family and holidays as our groups chat when being creative. Time for just you.
You'll look forward to coming to our classes every week, which is something new and exciting. I know because it happened to me. Try it and see.
New you, new 2020

Exploring our Emotions Through Art and Mindfulness

We have been running this course for children aged 6-11yrs for over 2 years now.
We have received so many positive comments and feedback from the parents of children who have attended that they have gained confidence, have a better understanding of their emotions and have learnt lots of different art and creative skills each week.

“My daughter loved the classes and enjoyed a lot,
For the first time we did not have to persuade her to go back every week
which is amazing as we tried lots of different courses before for many years,
Please keep organising them we will be definitely booking again!” Anna Oct 2019

“O has been attending The Art and Mindfulness course now for over 18 months!
I think that’s testimony to the course! Each run of the course is on a similar theme but activities vary so he’s loved going each time. It’s a brilliant opportunity to talk about feelings, warning signs and strategies to support, whilst doing art activities to promote self esteem. Amy is so positive and upbeat, she’s brilliant.” Kate Oct 2019

Amy Kelly our tutor is a Therapeutic Arts Facilitator & Family Support Worker. She has over 15+ years experience working with families and children as support worker. Supporting them to explore and understand their emotional wellbeing, relationships and home life.

We run different projects each week, all designed to teach the children about understanding their emotions, how to talk about their feelings whist providing them with support and building their confidence.

Some projects are repeated in different ways to help instil the exploration and their understanding.

Working with raw clay, plaster, canvases, paints, buttons, wire and glass there are so many amazing things the children can make whilst benefiting from mindfulness and understanding their emotions, critical to help our children develop through their young years.
