From The Driver's Seat
Paul Kluck from Topcat Racing unfortunately saw end to his day early last weekend at the Torque Trophy! But read his awesome write up of the final race!

"It did give me a chance to watch my fellow competitors in action and they put on a great show in the final race of the Torque Trophy. Watching Brad slip through to the front like Moses, parting the waters, to lead the race by the start of the second lap, was biblical, then following Andrew carve through the field for the inevitable showdown with Brad at the front was epic.
The battles through the field were just as intense with Shaun surrounded by a hungry pack baying at his rear bar, including a hard charging Evo piloted by Nick and including Martin and Kelvin having their own under 2litre battle to fight, ending with a cloud of tyre smoke as Shaun pulled the trigger on a late braking manoeuvre into turn one that ended with his rear bar kissing the sand trap and bringing out the safety car on lap 7 of 15.
Meanwhile Craig was having his own battle in the early stages with the ex drift-spec AE 86 piloted by Aiden who was putting on a spectacular performance in his first run with Street Cars. Who knows what he could do on a proper set of tyres! Once Craig cleared Aiden he was in for a safe 3rd as long as his car held together - never a certainty in this event! Brent limped off the field, a wounded combatant after only 2 laps, hopefully living to fight another day after throwing his Skyline around the track like a seasoned veteran during the previous races.
Mark was the beneficiary of a slow restart from Andrew "Souvlaki"once the safety car came in and charged past with his SR20 Datto rocket before they'd even hit Cat Corner, then picked off Aiden in the same lap to sit in fourth, holding onto this position to the finish. Brad took the last race with the cleanest laps you'll see keeping a slightly woundex Andrew at bay (just!) was and runner up for the day but Andrew played the safe game and came in for a second but got to etch his name in history as the 2018 and 4 times winner of the Torque Trophy.
Craig came in for a solid 3rd place and 3rd for the day. What a race! Hard, clean, fair and entertaining racing.
The only bad part? I wasn't on track with this crowd! Seeya all back next year!"
