To celebrate and recognize the Houston Fire Department’s daily efforts, and especially during times of crisis, OnStar is surprising Fire Station 17 with a new ambulance to help aid these first responders in their life-saving work.
The Community event takes place today, June 14 with media arrivals at 11:30 AM and a short ceremony will begin at 11:40 a.m. with a surprise arrival of the new ambulance at 11:45 a.m.. Interviews and additional b-roll opportunities will be available after the surprise arrival.
Additionally, OnStar is donating a total of $75,000 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief and YES Prep Public Schools, a local non-profit organization in Houston, through the #OnStarGivesBack initiative.
