Firefighters arrived on scene and found smoke coming from the second floor of a 2-story apartment building. They began an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The roof was ventilated and it was discovered that a second roof was under the first roof. Firefighters then ventilated this second roof as well.
After the fire was brought under control, it was determined that the fire originated in the wiring in the back of a stove and spread into the wall. Crews from Stations 40, 23, 20, 18, 23, 25 and 26 responded to this incident.
