Democratic news from Osceola County | September 2019
Hi <<First Name>>

The debates are heating up and the 2020 election is barreling our way. We need to be geared up to have all boots on the ground come January 1st, a daunting challenge as we press into the busy holidays. I wish I could say we’re fully equipped and ready to stand against Trump’s growing war coffers, but we’re not.

While we have been growing our numbers over the past eight months, many of our precincts are still missing captains to cover them. It’s no mistake that we voted last month to make our tag-line “Democracy Depends on All of Us.” I fear that our country cannot survive against the evils facing it unless good people step up to make a difference.

With the threat of another four years of Trump, there’s never been a greater danger to our democracy.  Our all-volunteer staff is working hard, but we could certainly use more help.
If you aren't sure where you might fit in, reply here and I’ll respond, text me, or just call to chat at 321-442-1905. We could use your help! Or if work and family have you tied down right now, consider donating. Every penny counts!

Osceola County Democratic Party Chair

Hurricane Dorian Relief

Trump claimed he canceled his trip to Europe so he could monitor Hurricane Dorian. Instead, he spent his time golfing and apparently ignoring his weather briefings because he erroneously reported the hurricane was threatening Alabama. Instead of apologizing for the error, he doubled down and altered the hurricane map with a sharpie to show it veering into Alabama!

While Trump was drawing pictures with a marker and defending his behavior in the aftermath of the
catastrophic hurricane, Osceola leaders met to give a debrief of government relief activities and help coordinate local community support.

We thank Kissimmee Commissioner Angela Eady, Congressman Darren Soto, Democratic State Committeeman, Casmore Shaw and all our many elected Democratic officials working with the Caribbean and Floridian Association in organizing area leaders to coordinate relief efforts.

Democrats Care. Please Help!

Over 70,000 people and counting have lost their homes in hurricane Dorian. Our Bahamian brothers and sisters badly need your donations. Please send donations to the Red Cross to help ease the suffering of those in the path of this devastating hurricane. Support will be needed for months, if not for years to come.

Let's FIRE TRUMP and his cronies in 2020 by chipping in just $20 or more a month.

Each dollar pays to print more voter cards, reach much-needed volunteers, and fund phone banks, texts, door-to-door, and email campaigns to turn out crucial Democratic VOTES in our key Florida Swing-State!

Not only that, but $20 recurring contributors become Activist level benefactors who receive a magnet and T-shirt (which helps us proudly advertise for the Democrats!) You'll also receive a place of honor in the monthly newsletter and Osceola Democrats meeting (recognition optional), and a ticket to the November Fundraiser dinner where you can meet like-minded friends.
