Merry Christmas!

Since the 12-day season of Christmas goes until the Day of Epiphany on January 6, it's o.k. to still say that!

Thanks for your Christmas Generosity!

We would like to thank everyone who came out last Sunday after worship to participate in our Change Drive for World Hunger. We raised $4,438 including $1,733 in coins alone! The ELCA World Hunger program also has an anonymous donor matching the year-end gifts they receive, so our impact will be doubled. Way to go, team!

This Weekend in Worship

The Second Sunday of Christmas
Scripture: Ephesians 1:11-14, John 1:1-16
Preaching: Pr. Craig Brown
Message: "2021: A Year of Healing"
Synopsis: We are in desperate need of a year coming like 2021!  While the events of 2020 sharpened our patience, endurance and fortitude, 2021 will bring us restoration like no other.  God's Light coming into the world will shine through the people of God at First Lutheran and the wider church in many positive ways.  We will lead the way to crush the virus by taking the vaccine, we will (eventually) return to worship, install a new organ, hire a new Spiritual Director, work with a consultant to "Be Known for Something" and reach out to our unchurched neighbors to grow the church. Life begins our new normal in 2021, and Christ will light the way.

"Ideas for Your Daily Spiritual Practices"
January 3, 10 & 17
The new year is a good time to renew your spiritual life. Join us in this 3-part series as FLC members share books, apps, and other practices they use in daily devotional time. If you want to jump-start a daily practice and haven’t found guides you like, this is for you! If you have a daily devotion time but are looking to invigorate it with new resources, this is for you!

A panel of FLC members will share how they got started with a daily practice, what resources they like to use, and how they structure their time to make it a priority in their lives. If you have resources you’d like to share, please join us!
