This Weekend at First Lutheran

In light of rapidly rising Covid-19 transmission in Linn County,
our First Lutheran Church Medical Team met for the safety and well-being of all of our members. The team drafted a full release which we encourage you to read at the link below.

In summary, the team has recommended the following:
We will continue in person worship with a few modifications listed below.
We will continue our robust livestream worship.
We are moving forward with a full start-up of programming this fall.

Beginning today, we require all people who enter the building for worship or other daily activities to wear a mask and where possible to practice social distancing. Additionally, we are putting a pause on serving communion, offering coffee fellowship, and providing funeral meals. We thank everyone for their patience, prayers, and cooperation all along the way.

Scriptures: Psalm 51:1-12; Ephesians 4:1-16 NRSV
Preaching: Pastoral Intern Rebekah Nelson
Sermon: "Come Together: Unity in Christ"Come Together in Christ
Christians share fundamental unity and diversity. Our unity consists in the one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God. Our diversity is expressed in various forms of ministry whose goal is equipping the saints and building up Christ’s one body.

Here's the plan for Children's Ministry!
Families, we are so excited to be planning for the return of in-person ministries this Fall. Things are going to have to look a little bit different this year, so if you didn't see the recent message from Ms. Marissa, be sure to read it here!

Lend a hand in Children's Ministry!
Since we are planning IN PERSON programs in the Fall, that means we need YOU to consider volunteering for Sunday Morning Learning beginning in September.
We make it SUPER easy, (and fun!) to volunteer. Did you know that when you volunteer, you do so with an entire team? Need to be gone on a certain weekend? No worries, your team has you covered. We also prep all the materials for you that walks you through exactly what to say and do!

Grab a friend or two and sign up today!
