Kicking off our Program Year

We have faced so many challenges over the past few years as a congregation that it feels good to be starting a new program year this week. We are making adjustments to our usual ways of doing things, but we are excited to be underway none the less!

As always we are committed to your physical health and wellness as well.
You can review the latest pandemic protocols and responses here.
A new posting is expected this week.

TONIGHT: Choirs & Confirmation

We are especially excited to welcome back our in-person choirs who add musical variety to our worship services. You can join any of our ensembles by simply showing up for a rehearsal. All groups are singing masked until further notice. You can join any group to try it out, just visit a rehearsal.

This Weekend in Worship:
discover more: together

Scriptures: Genesis 12:1-7 NRSV
Preaching: Pastor Steve Knudson
Sermon: “Discover More: Together"
Sermon Synopsis: This weekend we are introducing a new focus in our ministry, to discover more: together. We will introduce the theme through the story of Abraham: "Go, and I will show you."
We will then break down and introduce each of the three words:
Discover: The Journey of Faith is a journey of discovery,
and the Bible is a book of many journeys.
More: There is more to God, more to grace, more to faith.
Together: We do this together, in community, in fellowship.

This Weekend:
Sunday Morning Learning for All Ages!

Children's Ministry Starts Sunday
Supporting the faith formation is a promise we make to our young believers when they are baptized and there are still several roles you can play in the process by signing up here.

Have you registered your children? We are taking many safety precautions for the health of our children, but it all starts when you Register your children today.  To begin our year together, we held a super-important parents meeting online to go through our health and safety protocols, and talk about the shifts in our usual patterns we will make to help people stay in safe, masked, small-group settings. All the details can be found here.

“The History of Christianity in Ireland”
It's probably not surprising to hear that St Patrick didn’t really drive the snakes out of Ireland, but did you know that he wasn't even Irish? Our favorite historian, FLC member Mike Bryant will help you learn the true stories of Christianity in Ireland at 10 a.m. on Sundays, Sept. 11, 18 & 25.
Join us in-person at the church, or join us online via Zoom here.

This Weekend:
Serve Together for God's Work - Our Hands.

God's Work Our Hands service event:
Join Lutherans across the nation this Sunday by serving our communities to be God's hands working in the world. Check out our planned projects and sign up here:

God's Work. Our Hands.

Coming Soon:

Names & Faces Photo Directory
It has been quite awhile since we have seen each other, and it can be hard to remember a name to a face or vice versa.
A big thanks to the first 100 families to sign up for our next photo directory. We are on our way to 200 and we need you to make this a valuable tool for helping make connections in the congregation. Book a Photo Sitting Today online, or call to schedule at 1(888) 742-5823.
