Meet Our Newest CEBIP Clients

Generation technologies typically receive the majority of attention when clean energy is discussed. However, effectively and efficiently storing energy once it is produced is equally important, particularly given the limited production windows and variable output of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. Three of CEBIP’s newest client companies are pursuing solutions that address the goal of storing clean energy and releasing it to meet changing demand.
Edgewise Energy provides next-generation energy technology for residential and commercial usage, including solar, fuel cells, battery storage and distributed generation solutions. Edgewise expects to provide both immediate and long-term solutions for clean energy generation via technologies that range from residential backup power to advanced clean fuel cell power generation and storage. The company has developed a series of strategic relationships and exclusive agreements to introduce these technologies to Long Island, New York State and beyond.

StorEn's research is focused on an enhanced, proprietary vanadium flow battery design that improves electrical performance and power density, reduces module size and weight, and lowers both manufacturing and maintenance costs.

Vinhans, based on a limited exclusive licensing agreement with Pacific Northwest National Laboratories, is currently involved in commercializing improved Vanadium Redox Batteries (VRB) and Iron-Vanadium Batteries (IVB) to meet the power needs of rural communities and microgrids.
