Greetings from Spectrum Orchestra!

As of this writing, spring is officially one month away. And though we'll likely see more snow and ice before winter is through with us, we're reminding ourselves that there is light at the end of the (long, cold, grey) tunnel.

Despite the weather, we've been busy preparing for our upcoming winter concert. With Dr. Diego Piedra on temporary assignment in Iowa, our guest conductor for this concert will be Adam Riccinto. Adam has put together a lively program of accessible, enjoyable music including 2 Schubert favorites, Gounod's Petite Symphony (featuring our winds section), and From a Moonlit Ceremony by American composer George Frederick McKay. This lovely and evocative orchestral suite stemmed from McKay's participation in a nighttime ceremony with the Muckleshoot tribe near Mount Rainier in Washington and was the first to incorporate Native American folk music.

We hope to see you there! Tickets are available on our
website or at the door.
