Bill Capsalis Joins Naturally Boulder As Executive Director

Naturally Boulder has named Bill Capsalis as the organization’s new Executive Director, effective March 1, 2021. Capsalis, who previously served as Board Chair 2016 - 2018, will oversee Naturally Boulder's staff, as well as its finances, communications, programming, and overall organizational strategy. Join us in giving Bill a warm welcome!

I have big shoes to fill in taking over for Arron, who has done an outstanding job. As we embark on the next phase of Naturally Boulder, we have a lot to feel great about. Along with the amazing staff of Julie and Christy, we will be bringing new levels of programming, support, and engagement for all members and sponsors. Birch Benders Launches New Keto and Organic Baking Line

Birch Benders has unveiled new keto-friendly and organic baking products, featuring cake mixes and frostings. The new range features clean ingredients, is free from added sugar, and offers low net carbs. The line is available now on the company’s website and on Amazon. The offerings also will be available at Target, Kroger, Walmart, and other retailers starting in April.


Danone Welcomes Follow Your Heart to Its Plant-Based Family of Brands

Earth Island®, maker of Follow Your Heart brands, will join Danone's plant-based business and further their commitment to bring plant-based offerings to consumers. The partnership will contribute to Danone's goal to increase global plant-based sales to $6 billion by 2025 and accelerate Follow Your Heart’s brand mission to increase availability of plant-based foods.


BOULDER CLEAN Launches Plant-based Disinfecting Wipes

Boulder-based BOULDER CLEAN announced the launch of a new line of all-purpose, disposable, biodegradable Disinfecting Wipes made solely of plant-based ingredients. This new product can be found on their website and will be rolling out in retail stores across the nation.


Terraseed Becomes First Vegan Company Ever Selected into Techstars Startup-Accelerator Program

Terraseed has been announced as a member of the Techstars Boulder 2021 cohort, becoming the first-ever vegan business to receive funding from the renowned startup accelerator program. Founded by two former co-workers turned entrepreneurs, Hava Horowitz and Maria Cebrian launched Terraseed in April 2020 with the introduction of The Complete Multivitamin for Vegans, the first product in a new line of sustainable supplements specifically designed to meet the needs of plant-based lifestyles. 


Creative Alignments Launches Career Accelerator for New Graduates

CA Launch is a career accelerator for upcoming and recent college graduates that helps diverse participants kick start their careers. The program, developed by Boulder-based Creative Alignments, provides the training, network building, mentorships, and more to help new grads land and succeed in their careers of choice. The next virtual, four-week program, which has a natural products/CPG track, kicks off March 29th and is designed to be diverse and accessible to all with a sliding scale fee.


Hoplark Expands Boulder Brewery

Hoplark, the brand that launched HopTea at a Denver Farmers Market in May 2018, has seen explosive growth over the past year through its retail and e-commerce channels. Hoplark recently installed a 120 BBL (4,000 gallon) brewing system to meet the continually rising demand. “It’s a far cry from the 12-gallon system we launched with,” says Dean Eberhardt, Co-Founder and CEO. “We are continually grateful to the Naturally Boulder community for their support.”


Grüvi Expands Distribution of Its Craft Non-Alcoholic Beer to Arizona and New Mexico

Naturally Boulder 2020 Pitch Slam winner Grüvi announced expanded distribution of its products to Arizona and New Mexico. Grüvi offers a line of non-alcoholic wines and craft brewed beers, with limited releases launched throughout the year.


The Tebow Pack Partners with Boulder-Based "I and love and you" to Give Back to Local Local Animal Shelters

The Thank You Fur Being A Friend Campaign was launched by Boulder-based "I and love and you" early this year to shine light on how our pets have helped us during the pandemic. For every story Tim and Demi Tebow's followers share about their pets, "I and love and you" will donate 10 meals to Dalmatian Rescue of Southern Florida.


The Kitchen Coop and Vital Farms Announce Manufacturing Partnership

Contract manufacturer The Kitchen Coop of Broomfield, CO and pasture-raised egg pioneer Vital Farms of Austin, TX recently announced their strategic partnership. The collaboration between the two Naturally Network communities started in the summer of 2019 and culminated with the launch of Vital Farms’ new Egg Bites available at Whole Foods, Walmart, Target, and other retailers.
