Naturally Boulder Instates Code of Ethics 

Code of Ethics expresses the common values of this community; NB members pledge to uphold
Naturally Boulder is instating a Code of Ethics to articulate and advance the unique and uplifting attributes of this vibrant community.  The Code of Ethics, which NB members are expected to uphold, augments the efforts already put forth in Naturally Boulder's Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles.  We are pleased and proud to offer this to our community, and welcome your feedback at

Naturally Boulder’s Code of Ethics
The Naturally Boulder Code of Ethics expresses the common values of this organization and guides our community in the decisions we make.  As a Naturally Boulder member, you pledge to uphold this Code of Ethics, acknowledging your responsibility to our planet, industry, and fellow Naturally Boulder members. 

The Naturally Boulder community strives to:
•  Be mindful of our Mission, which is to nurture conscious growth, leadership and innovation in the Colorado natural products community;
•  Be mindful of our Vision, which is that Naturally Boulder creates a healthier, more conscious world that prioritizes the products and practices represented by the Colorado natural products community;
•  Cooperate in every reasonable and proper way with other Naturally Boulder members, working together to advance the natural products industry;
•  Be inclusive, fair and respectful to employers, employees, associates, competitors, customers, and in all business or professional relationships;
•  Show dignity, respect, and kindness to all event attendees. Naturally Boulder has the right to ask a violator of this Code of Ethics to leave our events and may cancel his/her membership and/or sponsorship;
•  Value connection and provide a platform for education, dialogue and generous sharing to help the Colorado natural products community grow with integrity and higher purpose;
•  Embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and honor the excellence in business that will accelerate growth of the Colorado natural products community;
•  Nurture a culture of shared ideas, collaboration and mentorship within the Naturally Boulder community.   

Wild Zora Acquires Paleo Meals To Go 

Deal will help the brand scale and improve its ingredient deck 
Loveland-based Wild Zora announced its acquisition of the freeze-dried meal brand Paleo Meals to Go. Wild Zora is in the process of modifying Paleo Meal’s recipes to use the same grass-fed and sustainably-raised meat found in Wild Zora’s bars. Paleo Meals to Go founder, Dawn Anderson, will stay on with Wild Zora, at least through the ownership transition.  The deal will help the brand scale and improve its ingredient deck by utilizing Wild Zora’s supply chain. 

Aurora Organic Dairy Names Scott McGinty as CEO 

Founder Marc Peperzak stays on as Executive Chairman
Boulder-based Aurora Organic Dairy announced that Founder, Marc Peperzak, has assumed a new role as Executive Chairman and Scott McGinty has been named CEO for the company. McGinty brings 20 years of direct category experience and many varied perspectives to the role as CEO. As Executive Chairman, Peperzak will work directly with Aurora Organic Dairy’s Senior Leadership Team in an advisory role, and will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors.  

Frau Fowler Expands Into New Retailers

Company debuting 30 new SKU's this year
Frau Fowler is expanding into new retailers this spring, including King Soopers, Atkins/Chamberlains, Homeland, Bristol Farms and others.  This year, Frau Fowler will be debuting 30 new SKU's in oral care and personal care, after an extensive re-branding. This debut of new products and their re-brand will be shown at Expo West on the Hot New Products Floor.

Know Brainer Partners with Nestlé Through Accelerator Program

New product to debut at New Hope Network’s Natural Products Expo West
Boulder-based Know Brainer partnered with Nestlé in the Terra Food + Ag Tech Accelerator program to incubate and expand the ketogenic creamer brand. Nestlé has taken a hands-on approach with Know Brainer, helping with consumer insight and market research as well as providing guidance on product development. Know Brainer, with Nestlé’s guidance, is developing a 10-serving 16 oz. multi-serve package set to debut at Natural Products Expo West 2018 in March.

Oogie’s Snacks Introduces New Packaging 

Company also releases new flavors
Denver-based Oogie's Snacks kicked off 2018 with a new brand identity and new flavors. Oogie’s is shifting focus away from private label and back to its brand with the release of new flavors and packaging. The brand’s new flavors include Movie Time Butter, Original Kettle Corn, Spicy Nacho Cheddar, Caramel Chipotle, Hickory Smoked Gouda, and Wisconsin White Cheddar.

Organic Sandwich Company Plans Expansion

New restaurant follows brand’s dedication of partnering with Boulder County farms
Boulder-based Organic Sandwich Company will open a second location in Louisville at 459 S. McCaslin Blvd. Offerings at the new location are similar to the Boulder store, but there are some new additions to the Louisville menu including locally-made kombucha on tap. The new restaurant is scheduled to open in June.

Bobo's Simplifies Ingredient Deck With Organic Coconut Oil

Switch to organic coconut oil is effective this March
Boulder-based Bobo's Oat Bars announced it has replaced the original recipe’s vegan buttery spread, made from palm, canola and olive oils, with organic coconut oil, reducing all its products’ list of ingredients by five. Bobo’s has invested in improving the ingredients quality while also refining the consistency and texture of each hand-made bar, recognizing consumer’s preference for fewer yet high quality ingredients. The switch to organic coconut oil is effective this March in all 15 flavors of 3 oz bars and 4 flavors of STUFF’D Bars

Naturally Boulder partners with Authentic Leadership Center at Naropa University
Please take this quick survey to guide us as we develop this innovative program. Today’s volatile and uncertain world needs leaders who are grounded, engaged, ethical and effective. Especially in organizations that strive to live their values, there is no substitute for conscious and authentic leaders who can “walk their talk.” However, this is easier said than done. Most of us need training, support, and ongoing development to continue to deepen and expand our self-awareness and effectiveness as leaders.  Naturally Boulder, in collaboration with the Authentic Leadership Center at Naropa University, is looking to create a customized program for leaders in the natural products industry to enhance these crucial skills.
