Welcome Cider Station to the neighborhood!
Enjoy hard cider, draft brew, BBQ and other sandwiches with new or old friends seated around a big round table or long shared table. Under the stars or under the tent, this new food cart and cider garden is designed to encourage convivial community. Owner,Randy Nelson says he wants to support food entrepreneurs by offering this venue.  He really appreciates the enthusiastic reception from River Road neighbors who have long wanted more neighborhood venues where we can hang out together. The Cider Station will be open year around. Check out their FB page and come on out to 675 River Road for live music and cider tastings this weekend.

River Roaders are invited to the new Civic Park ground breaking

Eugene Civic Alliance (ECA) is ready to break ground on Civic Park! The entire community is invited to bring their shovels and participate in the Groundbreaking Celebration on October 7th at 2:00 PM. The event will take place at the Civic Park site on 20th and Willamette Street. Following a formal commemoration of the facility, prominent local sports figures will lead attendees to specific locations across the site where they will have a chance to dig in and help launch a new era of community recreation at this historic site! Plans for the facility include 40,000 square feet of multi-use gym space (for basketball, volleyball, community events, etc.), two outdoor basketball courts, an outdoor multi-sport turf field, and 2,500-seat stadium.  The facility will benefit people from across Eugene and throughout Lane County by hosting sports and community events.
