The 33rd Annual GLES Tree Sale - Fri., 11/23 - when the trees run out! (mid - Dec.)
Green Lake Elementary's 2nd largest fundraiser is powered by YOU, our wonderful families. It's a great opportunity to meet other
GLES families & members of the community, while raising funds to support many programs within our school.
We ask that each family, if possible, sign up for a shift (or 2, or 4!). Your Room Parent will be your point person in making sure your class has the opportunity to sign-up. If families from each class sign-up for 9-10 shifts, we will have the entire schedule covered! All kids, friends, and family are welcome to chip in on shifts!
Shifts Tasks include:
- running sales
- keeping refreshment table neat and stocked (hot choco & candy canes)
- assisting in tree trunk trimming & loading onto customer cars (bring work gloves if you have them! Saws are available on lot)
- unwrapping trees and stocking racks
- hanging wreaths
- general lot tidying
Shift Fun includes:
- hanging out with friends, new or known!
- kids welcome - they love to help with passing out price cards and candy canes!
- being in the elements - tent available but dress for the weather!
- getting into the holiday spirit and doing good for the school!
Ever wonder how you can get even more involved with the Tree Sale?
The Tree People, the great group of volunteers who manage the Sale behind the scene, are always looking for new faces to join the group.
This are the core group that manage each shift plus:
- set up the lot
- take deliveries of the trees, sort them by species & trim trees
- help load trees on cars on people's cars
- break down the lot, clean up and generally be awesome
If interested in becoming a Tree Person, please contact volunteers@greenlakedragons.org for further details.

The playground committee has selected SiteWorkshop as the firm to help develop the conceptual master plan for the playground. We are currently finalizing the agreement and then the FUN will begin! More information coming soon. In the meantime, if you have not already, please take 5 minutes to complete our informal survey here.
This is intended to help us gather an initial feel for what the community would like to see happen. More formal public meetings will take place in the upcoming weeks, for now, please help us by completing the survey!
