Dear <<First Name>>,

Yesterday, a statewide educator survey kicked off in an effort to gather insight from the frontline experts in our schools about what’s needed to ensure that every Michigan student succeeds as we begin the recovery from the unprecedented challenges of the last year.

The survey is being fielded by Launch Michigan, a diverse alliance of education, labor, business and philanthropic organizations committed to establishing a shared agenda to ensure all Michigan students receive a best-in-class education. Thousands of survey responses to Launch Michigan’s 2019 survey gave the Governor, the Legislature, and other policymakers a broad picture of how educators’ concerns and priorities. This year’s update will be used by Launch Michigan to inform the policy recommendations it intends to propose to the Governor and State Legislature.

MASA and MAISA are partners in Launch Michigan, working to represent the interests of school administrators in the coalition. As such, we’ve been involved in the development of this survey and are fully supportive of this effort to hear from our employees across the state.

That’s why we’re asking you to take a moment to share the message below with your staff, encouraging them to take the survey.

NOTE: We are NOT asking you, our members as district-level administrators, to actually take the survey. We appreciate your effort to encourage the staff in your districts to complete this survey.

As always, take care and let us know how we can help!

Please forward the message below to your staff:

Yesterday, a statewide educator survey kicked off to gather insights from the frontline experts in our schools about what’s needed to ensure every Michigan student succeeds.

Many statewide groups are part of this coalition and are encouraging their members to take part in the survey – you should be receiving an email invitation to complete the survey from your union or professional association.

I hope you take the opportunity to make your voice heard in this important survey – ensuring your opinions are part of this survey’s findings is critical for our students.

Individual responses to the survey are strictly confidential – only aggregate responses and analysis will be publicly released later this spring. The firm conducting the research, Emma White Research LLC, is maintaining that confidentiality and working to ensure the responses as a whole are representative of the broad Michigan educator population.

If you didn’t get an email invitation to participate in the survey, please send a message to info@ewhiteresearch.com and let them know where you work and they’ll send you a link to complete the survey.

Thank you so much for sharing your insights as part of Launch Michigan’s Statewide Educator Survey.
