Happy March!

Free Movie Event

Join us on Saturday, March 11th at 6pm at the Winhall Community Arts Center. The Winhall Memorial Library and the Winhall Community Arts Center will be hosting a free showing of the movie based on the best-selling book "The Girl on the Train," by Paula Hawkins. We would appreciate a count beforehand to ensure seating. Please call 802-297-9741 or email: winhalllibrary@comcast.net to RSVP.

Thanks to the Winhall Community Arts Center for allowing us to host the February Conmmunity Luncheon. It was a smashing success with 28 peole in attendance. Thank you to those who donated their time, yummy food, and desserts! The next luncheon will be on Thursday, March 16th at 12pm at the library. All are welcome! Please RSVP to 802-297-1586 by 3/15/17.

Save the date! 
We will be showing the film A Monster Calls on Saturday, April 8th at 6pm at the Winhall Community Arts Center. We will be showing movies each month on the second Saturday. 

March Book Discussion 

Please join us on Saturday, March 25th at 1pm to discuss I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak (author of The Book Thief). Copies of the book are available at the library. This is an informal group, all that is needed is a love of books. Refreshments will be served. 
New Children's Audiobooks

Call to Artists at the Winhall Memorial Library

The library would like to share our display space with local artists; for works of various media, such as paintings and photography. We are currently showcasing the artwork of Ely Porter. Please come in to see his wonderful creations. The space is available on a monthly, first come basis. Please call Dawn at 802-297-9741, or email winhalllibrary@comcast.net to reserve a spot.

In celebration of Poetry Month, the library is organizing a Poetry Open Mic event. Join us on Thursday, April 27 at 7pm. Those who would like to perform their favorite piece of poetry; whether it be your own or a favorite poet's, contact the library at winhalllibrary@comcast.net or 802-297-9741 to reserve a slot. This event is organized in conjunction with the Winhall Community Arts Center. Through a grant from Vermont Reads, the library has received copies of Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson to share with the community, this book will be available for recitation as well.
