Library News: January 2017

Happy New Year!

Thanks again for your patience while the library furnace was being replaced. I am looking forward to a busy 2017, with many great events at the library. As always, please feel free to stop by or to email me with any suggestions of what you would like to see happening at your library.

Rescheduled Book Discussion

The Book discussion for A Monster Calls has been rescheduled to Saturday, January 7th at 1pm. Please email me at winhalllibrary@comcast.net to let me know if you are available to make it. If there are at least 5 people we will go on with the discussion. We would also like to plan a group outing to see the film version of the book. Please stop by, call, or email with your preference of a date.

Call to Artists at the Winhall Memorial Library

The library would like to share our display space with local artists; for works of various media, such as paintings and photography. We are currently showcasing the photography of Joel Bluming and poetry of Linda Kurtz Beher through the month of January. Please come in to see their wonderful creations. The space is available on a monthly, first come basis. Please call Dawn at 802-297-9741, or email winhalllibrary@comcast.net to reserve a spot.

A Man Called Ove
Join us on Saturday, January 21st at 4pm at the Winhall Community Arts Center. The Winhall Memorial Library and the Winhall Community Arts Center will be hosting a free showing of A Man Called Ove, a film based on the book of the same name. We would appreciate a count beforehand to ensure seating. Please call 802-297-9741 or email: winhalllibrary@comcast.net to RSVP.

January Book Discussion at the Winhall Memorial Library!

Please join us on Saturday, January 28th at 1pm to discuss Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. Copies of the book are available at the library. This is an informal group, all that is needed is a love of books. Refreshments will be served.

Thanks to the Winhall Community Arts Center for allowing us to host the November Community Luncheon. Unfortunately, due to our furnace problems, we were unable to host December's luncheon. The luncheon was moved to the community center, and of course was still a great success, thank you to those who donated their time, yummy food, and desserts! The next luncheon will be on Thursday, January 19th at 12pm at the library. All are welcome!

Winhall Memorial Library Ornament Sale
