Dear Friends, Pastors, and Prayer Partners:
These past few weeks have been super busy and super blessed. My family and I have preached the gospel in Lousiana, North Carolina, and Virginia. Micah is doing the same in Honduras! We rejoice continually in the opportunities God has given to us and in the power of the gospel to change lives. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and cannot say thank you loudly enough or often enough for your partnership with us.
Here is a brief overview of how God has been answering your prayers. Bethlie and I both spoke at the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA for their Family Revival and God gave us great crowds and tender hearts. The response of those who came will make a difference for years to come! From there we traveled to Columbus, NC to be with Cross Roads Baptist Church. This young church is thriving and souls are being saved and added to the church continually. We were overjoyed by the response here as well and by the reviving presence of our Savior in every service. He worked deeply in all of our hearts and we left knowing that we had experienced His reviving touch. The past few days Bethlie and I both spoke at the Ladies Prayer Advance in Roanoke, VA. What a meeting this was! I have been invited to speak at the Student Prayer Advances as well as the Men's Prayer Advances and these have always been some of our most powerful meetings. This one was too. God was present in every service and the response to the preaching was, quite literally, nothing less than awesome! Bethlie and I highly recommend the Prayer Advances. Attend one if you can. You will be glad you did.
Please pray for Micah. He is preaching the gospel in Honduras and will be there the rest of this month. I am eager to see how God will use and bless this trip!
Here are some specific requests:
1. Micah needs a good reliable car (he is hoping to get one with a manual transmission since he drives those most often in his international work).
2. We are continually asking God for safety as we travel so many miles.
3. We are praying continually for revival in the churches of our land. Never stop praying about that.
4. Micah still needs over $1000 monthly support to be fully supported in his ministry of International Evangelism. We are helping to meet his needs as often as we can and we have also seen God provide in several miraculous ways. We certainly serve a great God.
Thanks for being our friends. And for praying for us. And for the support so many of you provide.
We are your sincere friends,
Dave Young (and Micah Self)
