Dear friends and prayer partners:
What a whirlwind week we have had! Micah is still traveling and serving in India and I have been in Tennessee and Virginia. I drove from our home in Florida and have covered almost 2000 miles in the past week. Here is an overview of our week.
I spoke last Wednesday in Tennessee at Salem Baptist Church of Ten Mile. What a sweet service being with people whom I have known almost since the time I trusted Christ as a teenager. Souls are still being saved in their church and they are still going forward! From there I headed to the Men’s Prayer Advance which was held in Roanoke, VA. I can think of only one word to describe the three days at the advance: WOW! The music was incredible and hearing hundreds of men singing joyfully and worshipping together was just amazing. The prayers times were bathed with the presence of God and the way the men received the word of God was just overwhelming. All of us left knowing that we had been in the life-changing and life-giving presence of Jesus! I would heartily suggest that you consider attending one of the Christ-life Ministry’s Prayer Advances. I promise that you will be glad you did. Check them out at http://www.christlifemin.org.
Following the Prayer Advance, I preached a four-day-revival meeting with Rural Point Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. The church had been praying and working towards our time together and it was evident in every service. God worked in our hearts in very definite ways and the result was a soul saved, another being helped with assurance of salvation, and yet another trusting in Christ after the meeting ended. I believe that all of us experienced Christ’s reviving presence in a definite, personal, and corporate way. Thanks for praying for these meetings.
Micah is serving in India. He has been traveling extensively and preaching dozens of times. I know souls have been saved and many believers are sensing revival there as well. Micah has been able to record a variety of 30-minute TV broadcasts that will be aired over the next few months and has preached a variety of churches and colleges throughout the country. He has especially been touched by the orphanages and those to whom he met in the leper colony. In fact, he has been raising money to help with many of the needs of one of the ministries there which works non-stop to help those who are orphans and widows and who are suffering because of their plight. The ministry has started hundreds of churches and taken care of thousands of orphans and also conducts medical clinics among the poorest of the poor. I know that Micah’s heart has been touched and that he is personally sacrificing for these people whom he is helping to serve. If you would like to have a part in this particular matter, send me an email and I will tell you how you can do it. Or you can just donate to Micah's ministry at EvangelistDaveYoung.com Any gift would be helpful and will be used specifically in meeting needs among these people.
Thanks for being our friends and for praying for our work. I begin another “revival meeting” this weekend at Calvary Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach, FL. We will be there all next week and would appreciate your prayers.
I do have to have my “new” truck repaired. I had an accident during this past trip and damaged both the front bumper as well as the rear one. Traffic stopped abruptly and I managed to hit the ball hitch of the truck in front of me and the lady behind me managed to park her car under my rear bumper. The front bumper was damaged as well as the rear one. Thankfully, no one was hurt and the truck will be repaired fairly soon. I was reminded of how good God has been to me. I have traveled thousands of miles and this is the first “major” accident of any kind.
Please keep praying for us! The needs are always with us, and yet our God always meets them. What a mighty God we serve.
We love you all,
