Dear Pastors, Friends, and Prayer Partners:
It has been some time since I have sent out a newsletter, but we have been very busy and very thankful for a full schedule. Thanks for all of you who pray for us and support us and reach out to us along the way. It is always a blessing to know of your partnership with us.
Covid-19 continues to affect all of us and yet we are moving forward doing what God has called us to do. We are still preaching the gospel, still teaching the Bible, and still partnering with local churches for the cause of revival and evangelism. Over the summer, I was privileged to speak in several camps (the Wilds and CoBeAc); several youth retreats and youth revivals (in MIssouri and Southern Indiana); a number of Family Conferences (in North Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee); and several other meetings and conferences as well.
Our team just finished a three week series of revival meetings in Columbia, South Carolina; Wilson, North Carolina; and Canby, Indiana. Grace Baptist has a new pastor, our long-time friend David Goforth, and we were very happy to serve him and the church as they begin a new chapter in their lives. We also enjoyed our time with Joe Shakour and the Tabernacle Baptist Church. The church has grown steadily under his leadership and teaching ministry and it was a joy to see God reviving His people throughout the week. This week we were in a new-to-us church and enjoyed getting acquainted with Pastor Tim Lindsey and his good people. God blessed us with some really great revival services. I know I say this frequently, but it is still true - we need your partnership! The enemy is fighting the church and many, many believers are struggling with apathy and discouragement. I still believe the gospel preached in the power of the Spirit can change lives and revive churches. Please don’t stop praying for us and partnering with us.
I am sure that many of you have heard that Evangelist Micah Self is no longer serving with the David Young Evangelistic Association. Some months ago, he came to the conclusion that moving his ministry underneath a different “umbrella” would help his work in the “10/40 window.” His ministry is now governed by a board of pastors and he has asked me to also serve on that board. As God reminds you, please remember to pray for him as he continues to serve in some of the neediest parts of the world and as he continues his deputation.
Would you continue to pray with us about our need of updating our old RV? This particular one has served us for over 20 years and thousands of miles. Bethlie has been dealing with some health issues and a medical professional has encouraged us to consider the possibility of buying a motorhome (instead of a fifth-wheel) as it would make travel days a bit easier on her. Would you pray with us about this matter and that God would direct us and give us wisdom and also provide for us? We are waiting on Him and doing our best to be wise and patient.
Again, thanks for partnering with us. We are home for a few days and then off to revival meetings and services in Alabama, Texas, Michigan, and Ohio during September. I will keep you posted.
Please reach out if I can pray for you or serve you in anyway. Text me at 740-973-3549; email me at email@example.com; or message me via social media. I would love to hear from you.
Your sincere friend,
